Police reports

Following are some of the incidents reported to the Harvard University Police Department for the week ending May 22. The official log is located at 1033 Massachusetts Ave., sixth floor.

May 16: An officer was dispatched to Hastings Hall to take a report of a burglary by forced entry. A DVD, MP3 player, laptop computer, and camera were reported taken.

May 17: Harassing phone calls were reported at Dunster House. A suspicious phone call was received at the Taubman Center. An officer was dispatched to Eliot House to take a past report of stolen laundry. A jacket was reported stolen at Gund Hall. An officer observed an individual acting suspiciously in the area of Widener Library. The individual was placed under arrest for a drug law violation and resisting arrest.

May 18: At Holworthy Hall, an officer took a report of harassment via e-mail and phone calls. Cash was reported stolen at 20 DeWolfe St.

May 19: A bicycle was reported stolen from a rack near Johnston Gate. Books were reported missing or misplaced at the Museum of Comparative Zoology.

May 20: Suspicious phone calls were reported received at Massachusetts Hall.

May 21: Officers were dispatched on the report of a shuttle bus reported stolen in front of Currier House. The bus was soon recovered on Hawthorne Street and a check of the area for a group of youths observed fleeing from the bus was negative. Officers were dispatched to Eliot House on a report of two individuals acting suspiciously near the bicycle racks and one individual inside a van. Officers stopped the van and observed several bicycles, bicycle parts, and various tools. The individuals, who were checked for warrants with negative results, were placed under arrest for larceny over $250 and trespassing. One individual was also charged with possession of a dangerous weapon (brass knuckles).

May 22: At Wolbach Hall, an officer assisted the Cambridge Police Department with a victim of an armed robbery.
