Liberty Science Center presents Langer with Genius Award

In celebration of science and creativity, Liberty Science Center’s Genius Gala 5.0 honored four with its Genius Award on May 20. The recipients were Harvard Professor Ellen Langer, who is known for her pioneering work in the effects of mindful behavior; renowned architect Frank Gehry; California Institute of Technology Professor Kip Thorne, and Jack Horner, considered the world’s most famous paleontologist.

“Our four 2016 Genius Award winners are singularly brilliant men and women,” said Liberty Science Center President and CEO Paul Hoffman. “These out-of-the-box geniuses deserved to be honored in an out-of-the-box way.”

All the honorees and performers generously volunteered their time and talents in support of the not-for-profit Science Center’s mission to expose learners of all ages to the power, promise, and pure fun of science and technology.
