Australia-Harvard Fellowships taking applications
The Harvard Club of Australia Foundation is accepting applications for its 2011 Australia-Harvard Fellowship program, which awards midcareer and senior Harvard-based science and technology researchers intending collaborative projects in Australia. The deadline for applications is Sept. 20.
Fellows typically visit Australia for several months and interact with educators and students in their vicinity. An option favored by senior applicants is a shorter visit, but one that enables them to take a primary role in a seminar or instructional course open to Australians working in the fellow’s specialized field. Taking a sabbatical to accommodate longer studies is also an option. Fellowship grants are donated Australian institutions hosting the fellows, and those institutions administer the funds on standard terms.
The Australia-Harvard Fellowships were introduced in 2005 and to date have been awarded to 28 fellows.
