CRIMSON SAILING EARNS BERTH TO COED NATIONALS

The Harvard sailing team qualified for the upcoming coed nationals (June 2-4 in Newport, R.I.) with a seventh-place finish at the ICSA Coed Dinghy National Semifinals this past weekend (April 26-27) in Geneva, N.Y. Eighteen boats competed in the event, including local rival B.C., which captured first. The top nine teams, meanwhile, qualified for nationals.

The Crimson return to the water May 3 for the New England Team Race Championship in Providence, R.I.
ROOKIE GRAPPLER PINS FILA CHAMP

Freshman wrestler Corey Jantzen captured the gold medal at the 2008 FILA Junior Nationals this past weekend (April 23-26) in Las Vegas. Jantzen went 4-0 in the 138.75-pound category to earn the crown. With the win, the first-year qualifies for the FILA junior/university world team trials set for May 23-24 in Colorado Springs, Colo.
CRIMSON COLOR CWPA TEAM

The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) recently named four Crimson players to its All-Northern Division second team. The Harvard athletes include seniors Vivian Liao and Lauren Snyder and juniors Devon MacLaughlin and Nicola Perlman. With four selections (out of seven spots), Harvard outshined the programs from Connecticut, Queens, and Hartwick colleges, which each had a player honored on the second team.

Harvard completed its 2008 campaignwith a third-place finish at the Northern Division Championship on April 19-20.
