Free tix for hoops, hockey

University employees with a valid ID are eligible to receive a pair of free tickets to the following Harvard athletic events: women’s basketball vs. Holy Cross (Dec. 18 at 7 p.m.); men’s basketball vs. University of California, Irvine (Dec. 30 at 2 p.m.); men’s hockey vs. Clarkson (Jan. 12 at 7 p.m.); and women’s hockey vs. Union (Feb. 8 at 7 p.m.).

Vaillancourt scores ECAC award as icers stay perfect

Women’s hockey forward Sarah Vaillancourt was named ECAC Player of the Week (Dec. 3) for tallying four goals and four assists during the Crimson’s recent three-game sweep of league opponents. She currently ranks fourth nationally in points per game (2.22).

Harvard improved to 9-0-0 with the victories to stay firm at the No. 2 spot in the USCHO.com national poll. The Crimson will host Connecticut on Friday (Dec. 7) at 7 p.m.
