Following are some of the incidents reported to the Harvard University Police Department for the week ending Sept. 13. The official log is located at 1033 Massachusetts Ave., sixth floor, and is available online at http://www.hupd.harvard.edu/.

Sept. 6: An unattended wallet containing cash and credit cards was reported stolen from the Fairchild Biochemistry Building. An officer was dispatched to a report of theft at Aldrich Hall. The reporting individual stated that they left their wallet in the basement and later checked the area and located the wallet. All the items were left intact except for $1,800 in cash.

Sept. 7: An officer was dispatched to Conant Hall to take a report of four sections of copper downspouts that were stolen. The value of the copper was unknown at the time of the report. Cash in the amount of $216 was reported stolen from the Taubman Center. A seat for a mountain bike was reported stolen from Fairchild Biochemistry Building. Damage to a motor vehicle caused by another vehicle was reported at 111 Western Ave. The damage included chipped paint, scratches, and a dent on the passenger-side door. An officer took a report of a stolen laptop at the Belfer Center. At 73 Cedar St., officers arrested an individual for stealing items from an unattended bag. A mountain bike was reported stolen from Paine Hall.

Sept. 8: Suspicious e-mail was reported at Richards Hall. Mail packages containing a set of kitchen knives valued at $97 and a bracelet valued at $32 were reported stolen at 1 Western Ave. A bicycle was reported stolen at the Holyoke Center. An unsecured chair valued at $900 was reported stolen from Currier House. Officers observed an individual removing landscape stakes from a grassy area outside Widener Library. The officers then observed the individual waving the stake in a threatening manner and yelling. The individual failed to comply with the officer’s requests to put down the stake and stop yelling. The individual then threw the stake in the direction of a crowd of people and attempted to flee the area. After a brief foot pursuit, the officers captured and placed the individual under arrest for disorderly conduct.

Sept. 10: Officers were dispatched to the Science Center on a report of an active fire in progress. Officers attempted to extinguish the fire with negative results before the Cambridge Fire Department arrived and put it out. Officers were dispatched to a report of a bomb threat at 1230 Soldiers Field Road. The incident is under active investigation.
