Road racers, walkers welcome for 4.2-mile outing

Harvard Recreation’s second annual Paul Gilligan Memorial Road Race will be held May 6 at 10 a.m. This 4.2-mile race — starting and ending at Newell Boat House — takes runners and walkers over the Arsenal Street and Larz Anderson bridges. There is no entry fee, although donations to the Paul Gilligan Scholarship Fund will be accepted the day of the race.

Anti-corruption activist Macovei to speak at KSG

Monica Macovei, who served as Romania’s justice minister from December 2004 until this past April 2, will deliver a public address at the Kennedy School of Government on April 27. The talk, providing insights into Macovei’s fight against corruption in Romania’s public sector, will begin at 4 p.m. in Starr Auditorium of the Belfer Building.
