An estimated 7,000 people (including 5,000 alumni/ae) are expected to attend reunion activities, which begin Monday (June 6) and continue through June 11. Here is a list of the activities.

Monday, June 6
11:30 p.m. CLASS OF 1955 50th REUNION OPENING LUNCH at Eliot Dining Hall and Courtyard Tent.

1:15 p.m. CLASS OF 1955 50th REUNION SYMPOSIUM at Sanders Theatre. “Harvard Today.” Current panelists are Drew Gilpin Faust, dean of Radcliffe Institute; William. Fitzsimmons, dean of admissions and financial aid; Georgene Herschbach, associate dean of Harvard College; Jackie O’Neill, University marshal; Robert Scalise, director of athletics. 11:00 a.m. PHI BETA KAPPA LITERARY EXERCISES in Sanders Theatre. Open to the public.

11:30 a.m. CLASS OF 1955 50th REUNION LUNCH in Science Center Tent.

6:00 p.m. CLASS OF 2005 SENIOR CLASS FAMILY DINNER & PARTY at the athletic area for seniors and their guests. Tickets are $15 per person by reservation only through the Harvard Alumni Association office at 124 Mount Auburn St., 6th floor.

8:00 p.m. CLASS OF 1955 50th REUNION NIGHT AT THE BOSTON POPS. Classmates and guests arrive via police motorcade for that evening’s performance.

1:15 p.m. CLASS OF 1955 50th REUNION SYMPOSIUM at Sanders Theatre. “Varieties of Leadership in the Service of the Public.” John Law ’55, Dan Mayers ’55, Oscar Pollock ’55, and Ted Whatley ’55. Moderator: Stan Katz ’55.

2:00 p.m. SENIOR CLASS DAY EXERCISES with special guest speaker and members of the Senior Class speaking; featuring the Harvard and Ivy Orations, presentation of the Ames Award and the Class Ode. Open to seniors and their families.

3:15 p.m. CLASS OF 1955 50th REUNION SYMPOSIUM at Sanders Theatre. “1955 Speaks Out on Public Service.” Members of Harvard and Radcliffe Classes of 1955 and their guests are invited to speak for three minutes each on an aspect of public service. Moderator: David Wise ’55.

5:30 p.m. CLASS OF 1980 25th REUNION “TASTE OF HARVARD SQUARE” WELCOME DINNER.

7:00 p.m. CHILDREN’S PROGRAMS FOR THE CLASS OF 1970 AND CLASS OF 1980 OPEN.

8:00 p.m. RADCLIFFE CHORAL SOCIETY, HARVARD GLEE CLUB, & HARVARD UNIVERSITY BAND CONCERT – Tercentenary Theatre. Diverse musical selections including folk songs from around the world, interpretation of romantic literature, and traditional Harvard and Radcliffe songs. Open to the public.

Families of graduates with tickets and alumni with tickets may enter the Yard through the gate indicated on the back of their tickets. All other guests may watch the exercises on large screen television sets located in the Science Center.

Including conferring of degrees on candidates from the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, the University Extension School, all Graduate Schools and Harvard College, as well as the conferring of Honorary Degrees.

These designated alumni/ae are guests of Harvard College. Tickets for spouses and guests of alumni/ae @ $35 per person are by reservation only through the Harvard Alumni Association office.

Alumni who march in the parade do not require a ticket and should enter through the Alumni Gate next to Wadsworth House. Guest tickets can be obtained In advance from the Harvard Alumni Association office.

2:30 p.m. THE ANNUAL MEETING OF THE HARVARD ALUMNI ASSOCIATION: THE AFTERNOON EXERCISES
