Following are some of the incidents reported to the Harvard University Police Department (HUPD) for the week ending May 23. The official log is located at 1033 Massachusetts Ave., sixth floor.

May 19: An officer was dispatched to 1 Francis St. to take a report of a stolen lawn statue. Officers responded to a chemical spill at 45 Shattuck St. One individual received medical attention and the minor spill was cleaned up. Officers were dispatched to Garden and Cowperthwaite streets on a report of a suspicious individual attempting to piggyback into a building. The individual was placed under arrest after a check for warrants turned up positive.

May 20: Computer parts were reported stolen from Gutman Library. An officer was dispatched to Broadway garage to take a report of a damaged motor vehicle. The parked vehicle was damaged by another motor vehicle that had left the scene. Credit cards and cash from a wallet left in an unsecured locker at the Malkin Athletic Center were reported stolen.

May 22: An officer was dispatched to Hollis Hall to take a report of suspicious activity regarding an e-mail account. A laptop and backpack were reported stolen from Claverly Hall. An officer was dispatched to take a report of an individual who was the victim of a simple assault in the area of Quincy House Gate. The altercation was the result of a driving and parking dispute.

May 23: Vandalism with spray paint was reported at the Holyoke Center and the Cronkhite Graduate Center. Officers were dispatched on a report of a motor vehicle that had hit a brick wall behind Fay House. Officers arrived and had the driver transported to the hospital. Larceny by means of a rental scam was reported at 20 Prescott St.
