The Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School recently announced that Richard Holbrooke, the former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations credited with helping to end the war in the former Yugoslavia in 1995, is the recipient of its 2004 Great Negotiator award. Holbrooke will receive the award at a dinner in his honor at the University on Oct. 27. Earlier in the day, Holbrooke will participate in panel discussions with faculty members of the Program on Negotiation at Spangler Auditorium. Created five years ago by the program, the award recognizes an individual whose lifetime achievements in the field of negotiation and dispute resolution have had a significant and lasting impact.
