Christmas Revels sets the stage for holiday season

1 min read

A Cambridge holiday tradition since 1971, the Christmas Revels will return to Harvard’s Sanders Theatre beginning Dec. 10 for 18 performances of music, dance, and rituals in celebration of the winter solstice.

Directed by Patrick Swanson and music director George Emlen, the 2004 Christmas Revels will pay tribute to Quebecois music, and will feature fiddlers, clog dancers, singers, the Pinewoods Morris Men, the Cambridge Symphonic Brass Ensemble, and more.

Tickets, which are $20, $32, and $42 for adults, and $12, $22, and $32 for children (under 12), go on sale Oct. 20. Tickets are available online at http://www.revels.org, or through the Harvard Box Office – open Tuesday through Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. – at (617) 496-2222. In addition, group sales (20 tickets or more), are now available through Revels. Call Alan at (617) 972-8300 (ext. 22) for details.
