Kokkalis Program makes faculty research grants available

1 min read

The Kokkalis Program on Southeastern and East-Central Europe at the Kennedy School of Government has announced the creation of its first faculty research grant program. Grants of up to $15,000 will support advanced research by Harvard faculty members on issues of critical importance to Southeastern and East-Central Europe. Grants can be applied toward research assistance, travel, summer salary, and course buyout.

While project proposals from all disciplines are encouraged, priority will be given to those that address issues of reform in the political, economic, and public sectors; sustainable development; social and health policy; innovation; competitiveness; and leadership.

There are no formal application forms. Research proposals (no more than five pages) in addition to proposed budget and research timeline, information on other sources of project funding, and a curriculum vitae for senior researchers should be submitted to Mikhala Stein, assistant director, Kokkalis Program, Suite 160, 124 Mt. Auburn St., Cambridge, MA 02138. A Harvard faculty committee will review applications, which must be turned in by May 10.
