Led by freshman forward Nicole Corriero’s hat trick, the Harvard women’s hockey team unleashed a fury of goals in a big 5-0 win over Boston College this past Tuesday night (Dec. 4) at Bright Hockey Center. Forwards Lauren McAuliffe ’04 and Ali Crum ’05 pitched in with a goal each, while senior netminder Alison Kuusisto secured the shutout with 18 saves.

With the win, the Crimson team – apparently just slightly smarting from the absence of last season’s top two scorers in Jennifer Botterill ’01 and Tammy Shewchuk ’01 – improves to 5-4-1 overall. The Crimson returns to local action tomorrow (Dec. 7) with a home game against a scorching Northeastern team (12-1-0) at 7 p.m.
