Daggy, 86, former SPH assistant dean

Richard Daggy, assistant dean of the Harvard School of Public Health (SPH) from 1964 through 1966 and associate dean for international programs from 1966 to 1973, died on Jan. 21, in Francestown, N.H. He was 86.

Daggy came to SPH in 1964 as a lecturer on tropical public health and served as the school’s acting dean in 1971 following the resignation of Dean John Snyder. Daggy retired from the faculty in 1981.
