Armed robbery on Oxford Street is reported

An assistant professor was the victim of an armed robbery on Oxford Street near Garfield Street this past Thursday (March 8) at 10:30 p.m. The suspect, described below, approached the victim from behind and asked the victim a question. The suspect then showed a silver handgun and demanded the victim’s money. An amount of cash was turned over by the victim and the suspect then fled in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as a fair-skinned white male, 30 years of age, 5 feet 11 inches tall, 160 pounds, with light blue eyes, and a light- colored scar around his mouth. The suspect was wearing a scull cap or light-colored winter hat, and a green jacket. He is described as well-spoken.

Cambridge Police reported an armed robbery on Sunday, March 4, between 8 and 8:15 p.m., in front of 32 Shepard St. The suspect involved in this incident has a similar description and modus operandi.
