Ten children from Cambridge and greater Boston will be able to attend camp next summer thanks to a donation from approximately 300 Harvard Business School (HBS) Master of Business Administration (MBA) students. Over this past summer, in an effort to contribute to the community beyond HBS, the students held an auction raising more than $15,000.

At a ceremony in Cambridge on Oct. 19, Andrew Lazzaro ’01 and Amelia Alberghini ’01, both HBS students, presented a check from the auction proceeds to the Cambridge Camping Association (CCA), an organization dedicated to sending low-income, at-risk children to summer camp programs.

“Since we learned so much at school,” explained Lazzaro, “we wanted to use the proceeds to help kids have a great learning experience of their own.”
