Volunteers honored for work in Cambridge schools

Cambridge School Volunteers, Inc., recently presented the 1999-00 Mack Davis Award to eight volunteers for their outstanding service to Cambridge public schools. The award is named for the late Mack I. Davis II, a Harvard administrator with an “extraordinary record of public service.” The winners and their volunteer placements are (left to right): Jacqueline Cressey, intergenerational literacy program; Shelly Davis, wife of the late Mack Davis II; Marilyn Feinberg, kindergarten; Marilyn Brownlie, Tobin School Library media center; Kenneth Bowles, CSV tutoring center; Richard Chutter, Cambridge Rindge and Latin School (CRLS) Science Olympiad and classroom science; and Louis Cohen, CSV tutoring center. Winner Carvel Munroe, a volunteer at CRLS, is not pictured.
