Police Log

Following are some of the incidents reported to the Harvard University Police Department for the week ending June 10. The official log is located at Police Headquarters, 29 Garden St.

June 5: A caller reported vandalism to a car at 111 Western Ave. A laptop computer was stolen from an office on Massachusetts Ave.

June 6: A garment bag containing approximately $1,000 worth of clothing was stolen from Mather House.

June 7: A bicycle was stolen from Building A at Harvard Medical School. An individual was arrested at Au Bon Pain on an outstanding warrant. Another individual at Au Bon Pain was taken into custody on a drug violation.

June 8: Cambridge Police and Fire, and Harvard Police responded to a bomb threat called in to the offices of the Harvard Crimson. The call came in from a phone outside Tommy’s Pizza. The building was evacuated for safety precautions, checked, and determined to be safe for occupation.

A caller reported that a cash box was taken from the lobby of Currier House.

A caller reported a spill of formaldehyde in the Medical Education Center on Longwood Ave. The spill was cleaned up, but the caller stated that there was still a strong odor in the room. Officers were dispatched; Environmental Health & Safety was contacted and responded.

An empty backpack was stolen from the Faculty Club. A wallet was stolen at Kresge Dining Hall

June 9: A caller reported that an expensive pen was stolen from an office in Morgan Hall. A wallet was stolen from William James Hall, then recovered with cash missing. A bag was stolen on Mill Street. A caller reported the theft of a refrigerator from the courtyard in Vanderbilt Hall. A purse was stolen at Gordon Track, then recovered with money missing.
