On Thursday, March 16, the organizers of An Evening with Champions presented $116,000 to the Jimmy Fund from the thirtieth anniversary performance of the student-run ice skating exhibition. Michele Widmer of the Jimmy Fund accepted the check from An Evening with Champions co-chairs Winnie Li ’00 and Gisela Mohring ’00.

An Evening with Champions is run by students from Eliot House. Every year, champion skaters from around the world converge on the Bright Hockey Center to benefit children’s cancer research and care through the Jimmy Fund at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. In An Evening with Champions’ 30-year history, the show has donated over $2 million to the Jimmy Fund.

Also present at the check presentation were the members of the executive board for the 1999 show and the co-chairs for the 2000 show, Kristi Knuti ’01 and Allan Tulloch ’01, along with Eliot House co-masters Steve Mitchell and Kristine Forsgard and several Eliot House tutors.
