Four Richard L. and Ronay A. Menschel Senior Leadership Fellows will join the Division of Policy Translation and Leadership Development at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health this academic year. Each fellow will teach a course during the term that he or she is at the School.

  • Dr. Muhammad Pate, M.D., Nigeria’s former minister of state for health (Fall 1, 2016 term)
  • Rt. Hon. Prof. Baroness Tessa Jowell, D.B.E., former minister of state for public health in Great Britain, (Fall 2, 2016 term)
  • Dr. Jackie Jenkins-Scott, president of Wheelock College (Fall 2, 2016 term)
  • Steve Beshear, former governor of Kentucky (Spring 2, 2017 term)

The Senior Leadership Fellows Program offers a rare opportunity for those who have recently served in top-level positions in government, multilateral institutions, non-profit organizations, and journalism to spend several months at the School to share leadership vision and experiences via mentoring and teaching of students who aspire to similar roles.  Senior Leadership Fellows interact with Harvard faculty and participate in campus life at the School and University. Fellows also participate in the Voices in Leadership webcast series.
