Harvard-Yenching’s 2010 holiday cards now available

1 min read

Each year since 1998, Harvard-Yenching Library has offered a series of holiday and note cards featuring images from interesting pieces in their collections.

For 2010, Kuniko McVey, Librarian for the Japanese Collection, and Raymond Lum, Librarian for the Western Languages Collection, have selected paired woodblock prints for our holiday and note cards. These woodblock prints, by Toyohara Kunichika (1835-1900), depict a scene of a man emerging from a palanquin and a woman and a child attendant standing by.

Both the holiday and note cards cost $10 per box (each box contains 6 cards of each image for a total of 12 cards and envelopes) and are available in Room 115 of the Harvard-Yenching Library, 2 Divinity Avenue, Cambridge, MA 02138. Cards from previous years are also available. For more information, contact Anna Dunavin at 617.495.3327 or dunavin@fas.harvard.edu.
