The Harvard field hockey team concluded a remarkable post-season run on Friday [11/19], falling to Northwestern, 2-1, in overtime, in a thrilling national semifinal game.

After winning the Ivy League championship, the underdog Crimson, was seeded No. 12 in the NCAA Tournament. The program earned its first-ever trip to the NCAA Semifinals (held in Ann Arbor, Michigan) with impressive upset wins over No. 6 Louisville and No. 2 Michigan the weekend of Nov. 12-14.  The win over Michigan marked the highest-ranked opponent that a Crimson field hockey team has ever defeated.

Capping off the historic year, the Crimson also tied the program record with 17 wins on the season.
