BSC presents Barrett Award to senior
Cited for ‘commitment to ongoing learning’
David Gootenberg ’11, a chemical and physical biology concentrator, was presented with the Joseph L. Barrett Award at a special ceremony May 2. The Barrett Award is given by the Bureau of Study Counsel (BSC) in memory of Joseph L. Barrett ’73 to honor exceptional students who generously give their time and support to assist their peers in developing more meaningful academic and university experiences.
Gootenberg serves as a peer tutor at the BSC and was cited for his commitment to ongoing learning and for modeling a spirit of inquiry and self-reflection for the other peer tutors. In presenting the award, the BSC thanked Gootenberg for his extraordinary service and wished him well as he continues to pursue excellence in teaching and learning.
