In the mountains east of the Haitian capital, a field hospital established by two Harvard Medical School doctors is treating hundreds of victims of the Haitian earthquake.
The field hospital in Fond Parisien, near the border with the Dominican Republic, is part of a broader emergency effort in Haiti by the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative, building on experience responding to disasters including Hurricane Katrina and the Asian tsunami.
