1 min read

A weeklong stay in a French villa, lunch with the lieutenant governor, a tour of the San Francisco mayor’s office, and four tickets to a Chicago Cubs baseball game are among the items up for bid at the 20th annual Student Internship Fund (SIF) auction at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government (KSG). The auction will be held today (Dec. 8) at the John F. Kennedy Jr. Forum, 79 JFK St. The silent auction will begin at 5:30 p.m. with the live auction starting at 7 p.m.

Some of the other items on the auction block include six nights at a Mykonos Island condo, one week at a Colorado ranch, tickets to the Boston Pops Christmas show, an IBM laptop, and dinner prepared by KSG Dean David Ellwood.

The annual auction, which this year is themed “Empowering students to change the world,” raises funds to support KSG students in unpaid governmental and nonprofit summer internships. Proceeds from the sales of 2006 calendars produced by KSG’s 1,000 Words Committee will also benefit the Summer Internship Fund.
