Police reports

Following are some of the incidents reported to the Harvard University Police Department (HUPD) for the week ending Nov. 29. The official log is located at 1033 Massachusetts Ave., sixth floor.

Nov. 19: An officer was dispatched to 54 Dunster St. to take a report of smashed door glass. A wallet was reported stolen at the Biology Lab. A wallet and cell phone were reported stolen from the Fairchild Biochemistry Lab. Vandalism to a motor vehicle’s door was reported at the Broadway Garage.

Nov. 20: A pocketbook was reported stolen from Holmes Hall. An officer responded to a report of a suspicious individual at the stadium. The officer checked the individual for warrants with positive results, then placed them under arrest. At 82 N. Harvard St., officers witnessed a drug transaction and placed two individuals under arrest for possession to distribute a class B drug. Officers were dispatched to Shad Hall on a report of an assault and battery that had just occurred. Officers located the parties and checked them for warrants with negative results. HUPD will seek complaints in court against one of the individuals for the assault and battery.

Nov. 21: On Mt. Auburn Street, an officer assisted the Cambridge Police Department (CPD) to stop a motor vehicle that was operating erratically. CPD was notified, responded, and the operator of the vehicle was taken into custody.

Nov. 22: A harassing phone call was reported received at 7 Ware St. A laptop was reported stolen from the Harvard Institute of Medicine.

Nov. 23: A University parking permit was reported stolen from an unsecured vehicle at Memorial Hall. A suspicious letter was reported at the Barker Center.

Nov. 24: An LCD projector and DVD player were reported stolen from the Spangler Building.

Nov. 25: HUPD received a call from the Weston, Mass., police department regarding the well-being of an individual possibly in the area who had made threats earlier in the evening. The subject was located and taken into custody. Arrangements were made to transfer the individual to the Weston police.

Nov. 26: Damage to a parking gate arm was reported at the Business School lot.

Nov. 28: An officer was dispatched to Annenburg Hall to take a report of a force-open exterior door. It was unknown at the time of the report whether anything was taken. A plasma television was reported stolen from the Dental School.

Nov. 29: An officer was dispatched to Dane Hall to take a report of an individual in the women’s bathroom looking under the shower stall. Officers checked the area with negative results. Vandalism to a window was reported at Leverett House. A cell phone was reported stolen from the Belfer Center.

Since Nov. 19, three bicycles have been reported stolen.
