Police reports

Following are some of the incidents reported to the Harvard University Police Department (HUPD) for the weeks beginning Aug. 25 and ending Sept. 13. The official log is located at 1033 Massachusetts Ave., sixth floor.

Aug. 25: Two checks were reported stolen from Countway Library.

Aug. 26: Jewels were reported stolen from the Museum of Comparative Zoology. A purse was reported stolen from the New England Primate Research Center.

Aug. 28: A handbag and digital camera were reported stolen at Baker Hall.

Aug. 29: At 25 Worthington St., an officer reported damage done to two motor vehicles that may have been broken into. The Boston Police Department (BPD) was notified.

Aug. 30: An officer was dispatched to Soldiers Field Park visiting lot on a report of a motor vehicle accident. No injuries were reported. An officer was dispatched to Kirkland Court to take a report of stolen items including electronics, jewelry, wallets, blank checks, and book bags.

Aug. 31: A book was reported stolen from the Peabody Museum.

Sept. 1: Eight Ivy League banners were reported stolen from the Bright Hockey Center. An officer was dispatched to 30 Kennedy St. on a report of an unknown individual on the roof banging on the skylights. The officer checked the individual for warrants with positive results, then placed the individual under arrest. An oil painting was reported stolen from 124 Mt. Auburn St.

Sept. 2: Officers were dispatched to Story Hall on a report of a male possibly looking into a shower. A check of the area proved negative. The male was described as Asian or white, between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall, with short, dark spiked hair parted to the right, and wearing a dark color shirt. A report was filed.

Sept. 3: Officers were dispatched to Dunster House on a report of a disturbance in progress. Officers located the individuals and one individual was placed under arrest for assault with a dangerous weapon. Officers assisted the Cambridge Police Department (CPD) in the apprehension of a wanted individual at Massachusetts Avenue and Dunster Street.

Sept. 7: Broken windows and stolen tools were reported at 155 N. Harvard St.

Sept. 8: A credit card was reported stolen at Eliot House.

Sept. 9: A pocketbook was reported stolen from 180 Longwood Ave.

Sept. 10: Officers assisted the CPD with a motor vehicle accident at Massachusetts Avenue and Garden Street.

Sept. 12: A debit card and cash were reported stolen at Matthews Hall.

Sept. 13: Officers were dispatched to Wigglesworth Hall on a report of a burglary in progress. Officers checked the area for any suspicious individuals with negative results.

Since Aug. 25, six bicycles, two cell phones, two laptops, and two watches have been reported stolen. There have been three reports of harassing behavior.
