Harvard athletes strut stuff in Athens

Harvard graduate Brenda Taylor ’01 placed seventh in a field of eight in the women’s 400m hurdles on Wednesday evening (Aug. 25) in Athens. In her Olympic debut, the 2001 NCAA 400m hurdles champion finished the event in 54.97. U.S. teammate Sheena Johnson placed fourth in 53.83, while Fani Halkia of Greece captured the gold in a time of 52.82.

In other action, senior Caryn Davies took silver in rowing as a member of the women’s eight on Aug. 15.
