Seasoned Summers offers advice to new college presidents

Every summer the Graduate School of Education hosts a seminar for new college presidents, focusing on such topics as leadership, governance, fundraising, financial management, personnel, academic issues, and strategic planning. On July 20, this year’s class of freshman presidents got some practical advice from an experienced upperclassman, Lawrence H. Summers. The Harvard University president (standing) shares many of his own experiences with the fledgling educational leaders.
