Police reports

Following are some of the incidents reported to the Harvard University Police Department (HUPD) for the weeks beginning Nov. 16 and ending Nov. 29. The official log is located at 1033 Massachusetts Ave., sixth floor.

Nov. 16: Vandalism was reported at Boylston Hall.

Nov. 17: A bicycle seat was reported stolen at Sever Hall.

Nov. 18: Officers assisted the Cambridge Police Department (CPD) with a motor vehicle accident at 30 Dunster St. An officer was dispatched to take an assault report at Pierce Hall. An officer reported that an individual struck an HUPD vehicle with their hand. Officers conducted a field interview with the individual who was arrested on an active warrant by CPD.

Nov. 20: A jacket was reported stolen at Hemenway Gym. Money from a purse was reported stolen at Longfellow Hall.

Nov. 21: A police vehicle was reported vandalized at Quincy House. The past larceny of medical equipment was reported at the School of Public Health, Building 1. Officers assisted CPD with a report of an indecent assault at Mather House. Officers checked the area with negative results. A missing wallet was reported at Malkin Athletic Center.

Nov. 23: A domestic disturbance was reported at 1 Bow St.

Nov. 24: Bicycle parts were reported stolen at 625 Massachusetts Ave. An officer assisted the Massachusetts State Police (MSP) with a motor vehicle stop at the Business School lot. DVDs were reported stolen at Loker Commons.

Nov. 25: An officer was dispatched to a report of an armed robbery on Huntington Avenue. Victim reported being hit in the side with a hard object. Suspect took $150 cash and the victim’s ID. The Boston Police Department (BPD) was notified and responded. A check of the area for the suspect proved negative.

Nov. 26: At the School of Public Health, Building 4, officers assisted BPD on a report of an armed robbery. Officers assisted MSP with a motor vehicle accident without injuries at 900 Memorial Drive. An officer took a report of property damage to a motor vehicle at Peabody Terrace Garage. A religious symbol hung on a door at 1 Western Ave. was reported vandalized. An officer took a report of a past attempted breaking and entering and a stolen radio from a motor vehicle at Peabody Terrace Garage.

Nov. 27: Officers assisted CPD on a report of people fighting at Massachusetts Avenue and Bow Street. A belt and ID were reported stolen at the Harvard Institute of Medicine. An officer assisted CPD with a report of a burglary in progress at Haskins Hall. CPD arrested the individual. Officers assisted MSP with a motor vehicle stop at 140 Western Ave. The individual was arrested by MSP for driving while under the influence.

Nov. 28: An officer assisted Harvard Operations with a water leak at Hoffman Lab.

Nov. 29: Officers were dispatched to Cabot House on a report of an aggravated assault. Three victims reported that they were verbally and physically assaulted during an altercation. The accused were gone on arrival. An investigation is to follow.

Since Nov. 16, one bicycle, one cell phone, three backpacks, three laptops, three purses, and four wallets have been reported stolen. There have been five reports of harassing phone calls or e-mails.
