Docents sought for Semitic Museum

The Semitic Museum at Harvard University is looking for volunteers to guide tours for the upcoming exhibit “The Houses of Ancient Israel: Domestic, Royal, Divine,” which opens Nov. 12. Docent training will begin Oct. 15.

E.P. Sanders to deliver Mark Lecture

The third annual Edward L. Mark Lecture will be held Oct. 30, at 8 p.m. at Harvard-Epworth United Methodist Church, 1555 Massachusetts Ave. E.P. Sanders, professor in the Department of Religion at Duke University, will deliver the lecture “Jesus, Jefferson, and Humanism.” One of the most influential religious scholars of his generation, Sanders was recently elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
