Gewertz memorial service Friday

A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Friday (Oct. 24) at the Memorial Church for Ken Gewertz, who died on Sept. 7 at his home in Watertown, Mass. He was 63.

Poet, teacher, fiction writer, and editor, Gewertz won an O. Henry Award in 1982. He gave 22 years of service to the University. As a reporter for the Harvard University Gazette, he covered almost every aspect of life at the University, concentrating on the arts and humanities.
