Police reports

Following are some of the incidents reported to the Harvard University Police Department (HUPD) for the weeks beginning July 22 and ending Aug. 16. The official log is located at 1033 Massachusetts Ave., sixth floor.

July 22: Vandalism to a bathroom was reported at 180 Longwood Ave. A pocketbook was reported stolen at University Health Services. Officers assisted the Cambridge Police Department and the Massachusetts State Police with motor vehicle accidents on Mt. Auburn and North Harvard Streets, respectively.

July 23: A computer mouse was reported stolen at 240 Longwood Ave. Money was reported stolen at 45 Shattuck St.

July 24: Officer dispatched on a report of a chemical spill at the School of Public Health (SPH), Building 4. Environmental Health and Safety supervised the cleanup of the spill.

July 25: A cell phone and ring were reported stolen at Mather House. A purse was reported stolen at Gallatin Hall. Money was reported stolen at Blodgett Pool.

July 26: A laptop was reported stolen at Lowell House. At Peabody Terrace, an officer assisted CPD in searching for theft suspects. A laptop was reported stolen at Peabody Terrace. A wallet was reported stolen at Harvard Sailing Center.

July 29: A laptop was reported stolen at Peabody Terrace. Identity fraud was reported at Lamont Library. An ID was reported stolen at Loker Commons.

July 30: Vandalism was reported at 25 Travis St. Jewelry, handbags, and perfume were reported stolen at Soldiers Field Park.

July 31: A wallet was reported stolen at Cabot Library. An ID was reported stolen at Malkin Athletic Center. Officers assisted CPD with a motor vehicle stop on Eliot Street.

Aug. 1: Officers assisted CPD with a summons at Dunster House. A watch was reported stolen at SPH. A driver’s license was reported stolen at Vanderbilt Hall. Computer hardware was reported stolen at Canaday Hall. An attempted burglary was reported at Newell Boathouse. An officer assisted CPD in the investigation of a theft at 1 Dunster St.

Aug. 2: Officers were dispatched to Johnston Gate on a report of a robbery. Two adult suspects and one juvenile suspect were positively identified and arrested. A package was reported stolen at Lowell House. A laptop was reported stolen at 20 DeWolfe St.

Aug. 3: Harassment was reported at the Sackler Museum. Officers assisted the Cambridge Fire Department and CPD with a motor vehicle accident at Gund Hall. Damage to a project was reported at Gund Hall.

Aug. 4: Wallets were reported stolen at the Pound Building and Baker House.

Aug. 5: A laptop was reported stolen at the Biology Lab.

Aug. 6: A past assault was reported at the Dental School. Officers assisted a constable in serving court papers at SPH. Money was reported stolen at the Biology Lab. A purse was reported stolen at the Holyoke Center. Vandalism to a motor vehicle was reported at the Palmer Dixon Tennis Courts. A bag was reported stolen at SPH.

Aug. 7: An officer was dispatched to 33 Concord St. on a report of fire. CFD responded and determined that the fire was extinguished. A CD player was reported stolen at Austin Hall.

Aug. 8: Vandalism was reported at Vanderbilt Hall. Harassment was reported at 51 Brattle St. An officer was dispatched to 1 Western Ave. to take a report of a stolen motor vehicle.

Aug. 9: A laptop was reported stolen at Stoughton Hall.

Aug. 10: An officer was dispatched to Claverly Hall to take a report of a past suspicious activity. At 34 Kirkland St., officers were dispatched to a bike larceny in progress. The suspect was pursued with negative results.

Aug. 11: A laptop was reported stolen at the Science Center. A pair of headphones was reported stolen at the Kennedy School. A digital camera was reported stolen at Tosteson Medical Education Center. Officer dispatched to take a report of an attempted bicycle larceny at the Medical School. A printer was reported stolen from Hoffman Lab. A wallet was reported stolen at Loker Commons.

Aug. 12: A purse and money were reported stolen at SPH. A digital camera was reported stolen at 164 Longwood Ave. Officers assisted BPD with a motor vehicle accident at 175 N. Harvard St.

Aug. 13: An officer was dispatched to take a report of harassment at 124 Mt. Auburn St. Three laptops were reported stolen at Soldiers Field Park.

Aug. 14: Money and a credit card were reported stolen at Malkin Athletic Center. A credit card was reported stolen at Vanderbilt Hall. A threatening letter was reported at Emerson Hall.

At Cabot House, an officer assisted a federal law enforcement agency in an ongoing investigation. An officer was dispatched to Holyoke Center on a report of an individual causing a disturbance. The individual was placed under arrest.

Aug. 15: A wallet was reported stolen at SPH.

Aug. 16: A purse was reported stolen at Hollis Hall. A laptop and passport were reported stolen at 1 Western Ave.

Nineteen bikes have been reported stolen since July 6.
