Resources for the current economy

Are you looking for a new job at Harvard? Do you want to learn more about how to polish your resume or interviewing skills and navigate the job search process at Harvard?

Come to Harvard’s Career Forum 2003 on June 17. This year’s event will be held at the Graduate School of Design’s Gund Hall, 48 Quincy St. (corner of Cambridge and Quincy streets).

Harvard employees are invited to attend the forum during a special two-hour early session from 1 to 3 p.m., where they can meet with representatives from Harvard’s schools and hiring units (a Harvard ID is required). The event will then open to the general public as well from 3 to 7 p.m.

The forum will include a Learning Center, providing career-related workshops on “Resumes That Work,” “The Power of Networking,” “Interviewing for Success,” and “How to Job-Hunt Effectively at Harvard.”

In addition to the job opportunities and Learning Center, there will be a resource center to provide attendees with information on career development and employment.

Candidates should bring several copies of their resume to present to the hiring units. However, in order to be considered for any position(s), candidates must apply on HIRES (Harvard’s online job database) to a specific requisition number at www.harvard.edu/employment. Kiosks will be available for forum attendees who wish to upload their resume to HIRES at that time.
