Harvard Foundation Award to honor harmony

Ali S. Asani, Professor of the Practice of Indo-Muslim Languages and Cultures, will join 24 students in being honored at the annual David Aloian Dinner and Student/Faculty Award Ceremony to be held at the end of the semester in the Quincy House Dining Hall. For the past 20 years, the director of the Harvard Foundation and the dean of Harvard College have presented Harvard Foundation Awards to students who have made significant contributions to intercultural and interracial understanding and harmony at Harvard College.

Harvard Foundation Director S. Allen Counter will present the awards to the honorees with Maria Trumpler, Allston Burr Senior Tutor in Quincy House, and David L. Evans, senior admissions officer for Harvard and Radcliffe Colleges.

This year’s Harvard Foundation Award recipients are Margaret Chinwe Anadu ’03, Marcel L. Anderson ’03, Yasmin Klaudia Bin-Humam ’03, Angela Young-Han Lin ’02, Brandon Andre Gayle ’03, Roberto Gradilla ’03, Susana Cordeiro Guerra ’03, Christopher Joseph Lewis ’02, Kimberly Levy ’03, Marvin Curtis Pittman ’02, Brian Alejandro Sandoval ’03, Lara Alice Setrakian ’04, Ethan Yih Yeh ’03, Isaac Weiler ’03, Melissa Yvonne Luna ’03, Andre R. Kydd ’04, Rita Hamad ’02, and Maame Aba Coleman (Graduate School of Education) ’02.

This year’s Harvard Foundation recognition recipients are Clarence David Meat ’05, Kimberly Michelle Thomas ’03, Victoria Anne Shannon ’03, Macani Toungara ’02, Tawfiq Innas Ali ’03, and Jordan Aaron Asaf Bar Am ’04.
