Employment Office to host Career Forum on June 11
Employment Services, collaborating with a University-wide organizing committee, is hosting Career Forum 2002 on June 11 at the Graduate School of Design’s Gund Hall, 48 Quincy St. The event will be open to the public from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. To allow colleagues who are layoff candidates an opportunity to meet directly with many hiring managers, the forum will open one hour early (10 a.m.) to internal candidates only.
Like last year’s event, the forum will provide candidates interested in exploring careers at Harvard an opportunity to meet with local representatives from the various Schools and hiring units. The format will be similar to last year, with tables provided for participating units. Tables will be organized along the sides of the auditorium, providing job seekers the chance to visit each table to learn about the distinctive qualities of each area. Information will also be provided on Harvard’s benefits, commitment to training and development, tuition assistance, and on applying online via HIRES.
Team Harvard partner organizations – the National Association of Black Accountants, the National Association of Asian-American Professionals, the Latino Professional Network, and the National Society of Hispanic MBAs – have also been invited to attend. Limited on-site child care for attendees will be provided by Parents in a Pinch, Inc.
