Suspect sought for attempted rape

Pictured is a composite drawing of a suspect wanted for an assault with intent to commit rape that occurred at approximately 12:50 a.m. on July 15. The suspect followed a woman from Cambridge Common to DeWolfe St. and engaged her in conversation. The suspect then attempted to convince the woman to walk to the area of the Charles River. He said that his name was Tyrone (street name “T”) and asked the victim if she wanted to buy drugs. The suspect assaulted the woman as she entered a foyer. The victim screamed and the subject fled out onto DeWolfe St. towards Memorial Drive and Western Ave.

The suspect is described as follows: black male, 23-25 years of age, 6-foot-2-inches tall, medium muscular build, puffy cheeks, close cropped hair, clean shaven wearing a dark T-shirt, boots, jeans or khaki pants. He was carrying a black backpack slung over one shoulder.
