Police Log

Following are some of the incidents reported to the Harvard University Police Department (HUPD) for the week ending Oct. 14.

The official log is located at Police Headquarters, 29 Garden St.

Oct. 8: A set of keys was reported stolen from the Blodgett Pool. A vending machine was reported broken into at Cruft Lab. A caller reported two bicycles were stolen from the bike cage at the Peabody Terrace garage. A report was filed for a past larceny of a cell phone at Thayer Hall.

Oct. 10: A spare wheel cover was reported stolen from a parked car in the Business School Lot. A laptop computer was reported stolen from the Biology Lab loading dock.

Oct. 11: A bag containing a Palm Pilot was reported stolen from Aldrich Hall. At Pierce Hall, officers responded to a report of an unregistered individual attending classes. Subject was identified, checked for warrants, and issued a verbal trespass warning.

Unknown person(s) cut through the exterior security screen at the Peabody Terrace bicycle storage area. A wallet was reported stolen from an unattended backpack at Weiner Auditorium. An individual reported personal property was stolen from Ames Hall.

Oct. 13: The HUPD, along with the Cambridge Police Department (CPD) and the Cambridge Fire Department (CFD), responded to a report of smoke coming from a New Quincy House room. CFD extinguished the fire in an unoccupied room. The room suffered minor fire damage but heavy water damage. Three bicycles were reported stolen from Blodgett Pool, Sever Hall, and Stoughton Hall.

Oct. 14: A purse was reported stolen from the Quincy House.
