‘From Harvard Square to the Oval Office’ open for applications

1 min read

“From Harvard Square to the Oval Office” is now accepting applications.  A non-partisan initiative of the Women and Public Policy Program (WAPPP) at Harvard Kennedy School, the program provides a select group of graduate students with the training and support they need to ascend in the electoral process at the local, state, and national levels. The program is open to all Harvard graduate students, including international students.

Members participate in skills-training sessions with the nation’s foremost campaign strategists, fundraisers, and organizers; meet and bond with a select cohort of exceptional women; and engage in “behind closed-door” mentoring sessions with elected women about their experiences running for and holding office. Past speakers include Secretary of State Hillary Clinton (then senator of New York), former Gov. Christie Todd Whitman (R-N.J.), Congresswoman Anne Northup (R-Ky.), and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.).

Applications may be found online at WAPPP’s website and must be received by noon on Sept. 30. For questions, e-mail megan_kearns@harvard.edu.
