Harvard daffodil sales grow into a pretty penny

1 min read

Once again the Harvard community outdid itself in the American Cancer Society’s Daffodil Days fundraiser, collecting a record $36,124. The total number of beautiful bouquets sold: 5,001, many of which (1,394) were donated to five area hospitals.

The top three sellers were Maura Kelley from the Law School with 578 bouquets, Lynne Perry of Harvard Management Company with 388, and Peter Conlin from the Development Office with 362 bouquets.

Harvard University Mail Services (HUMS) volunteered its services for the cause, delivering the flowers to nearly 100 University locations on both sides of the river, all in one day. Ursula Moore, manager of HUMS, coordinated the huge effort.
