Police Log
Following are some of the incidents reported to the Harvard University Police Department for the week ending June 3. The official log is located at Police Headquarters, 29 Garden St.
May 28: Malicious destruction of property was reported at Dana Palmer House.
May 29: An individual was issued a trespass warning at Agassiz Theatre. A cell phone was stolen at Pennypacker Hall.
May 30: A radio was stolen from Thayer Hall. A light was stolen off a bicycle at William James Hall. A caller reported that vandals had ripped pages out of books in Countway Library. A cell phone was stolen from a car in the Everett Street Garage.
May 31: A computer monitor was stolen from the Warren Alpert Building.
June 1: A man was issued a trespass warning after following an individual from Mass. Ave. to Mather House. A pocketbook was reported stolen from Peabody Terrace. An individual was issued a warning for trespassing in William James Hall. An individual on Robinson Street reported that her mail has been stolen more than once. An unattended gas can was discovered at Harkness Commons; an Environmental Health and Safety crew disposed of it. A suspicious male was issued a warning for trespassing in the Biology Lab.
June 2: A wallet, cell phone, and ATM card were stolen from the Science Center. Numerous books were reported missing from the library at 2 Divinity Ave.; an investigation is underway.
A caller reported an attempted robbery in the Engineering Sciences Building; the suspect, described as a white male in his early 30s, wearing a ball cap, dark shorts, and a navy blue T-shirt, was seen leaving callers office with her purse. Upon seeing her, he dropped the purse and left the area. Officers responded to check the area. The suspect was gone on arrival.
A wheel and gears were stolen off a bike at Peabody Terrace.
June 3: A bike was stolen at Leverett House. Credit cards were stolen from Cumnock Hall. A bike was stolen at Building A at Harvard Medical School.
