Traveling fellows

1 min read

An unprecedented four Harvard seniors won the George Peabody Gardner Traveling Fellowship for 2000. Pictured are (left to right) Rosylyn Rhee, Luke Fischbeck, and Maxie Blue Rogers. Not pictured is Alexander Olch, who graduated in March.

The Gardner Fellowship is available to graduating seniors who are concentrators (or joint concentrators) in the departments of Visual and Environmental Studies (VES), English, Philosophy, or Anthropology. It provides recipients with a stipend for a year of travel and study. After demonstrating a curiosity and concern about the history and customs of cultures other than their own, winners are selected by a committee of the VES Department. Staff photo by Kris Snibbe
