Hoopes Prize winners named

3 min read

Sixty-four undergraduates have won the Thomas T. Hoopes Prize for outstanding scholarly work or research. The Prize is funded by the estate of Thomas T. Hoopes ’19, a firearms expert who was curator of the City Art Museum in St. Louis for more than 25 years.

Awards of $2,500 each will be given to the winners. Because Hoopes also instructed that the prize promote excellence in teaching, awards are also given to those members of the faculty or teaching staff who have both supervised and nominated the prize-winning work of undergraduates.
