Police Log

Following are some of the incidents reported to the Harvard University Police Department for the week ending April 15. The official log is located at Police Headquarters, 29 Garden St.

April 9: Unit sent to the outside of Gund Hall on a report of hundreds of pairs of shoes all over the outside of the building and on Quincy Street. The shoes were from an exhibit, which was removed.

April 10: A wallet was taken from Memorial Church. Two briefcases were stolen from Building A at the Medical School. A bathroom in the Science Center was vandalized. An individual reported that someone broke into a locker at Hemenway Gym.

April 11: An individual was arrested and charged with trespassing in Matthews Hall. A credit card was stolen from a coat in the Sackler Museum. A cell phone was taken from Leverett House. A costume was stolen from the Loeb Drama Center. A camera and cash were stolen from Sever Hall.

April 12: A chemical spill of xylene was reported in Building D2 at the Medical School; a crew from Environmental Health & Safety cleaned up the spill. A purse was stolen from Mallinckrodt Lab; purse was later recovered, but cash and an electronic organizer were gone. A wallet was taken from the Science Center. A mini-CD player was taken from Weld Hall. A laser pointer was taken from Building C1 at the Medical School.

April 13: Officers responded to a report of domestic disturbance in Canaday Hall. After an interview and investigation, one individual was taken into custody and charged with making threats under the Domestic Abuse Law.

April 14: A larceny was reported on the 10th floor of Holyoke Center.

April 15: A backpack was stolen from the MEC at the Medical School.
