Police Log
Following are some of the incidents reported to the Harvard University Police Department for the week ending March 4. The official log is located at Police Department Headquarters, 29 Garden St.
Feb. 27:
A jacket was stolen from the coatroom at the Sackler Museum. A parked car in Holyoke Center garage was struck by another vehicle, which left the scene.
Feb. 28:
Someone broke into a car on Hammond Street. A backpack was stolen from William James Hall.
Feb. 29:
A laptop computer was stolen from an office on Story Street. A bomb threat was received at 51 Brattle Street; the building was checked and nothing suspicious was found. A wallet was stolen from the Gutman Library. A VCR was stolen from Gallatin Hall. A purse was stolen from Gutman Library. A car accident with personal injury occurred on Mount Auburn Street at DeWolfe Street.
March 1:
A vending machine was vandalized in Hauser Hall. A wallet was stolen from Morris Hall. A small demonstration was held without incident in front of University Hall. A cell phone was stolen from the Malkin Athletic Center. A purse was stolen from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine.
March 2:
A small group of demonstrators gathered in the reception area of Mass. Hall, then dispersed. Group then moved to Holyoke Center, but dispersed quietly. A bag was stolen from Building D2 at the Medical School. A caller reported a hit-and-run accident involving her parked car in the Business School parking lot.
March 3:
Computer equipment was stolen from a lab in Building B2 at the Medical School. Exercise equipment was stolen from a locker in Building D2 in the Medical School. A cell phone was stolen from the Science Center. An individual was arrested for trespassing at Rockefeller Hall. An accident involving two cars and a pedestrian occurred at Mill and Plympton Streets; one car struck the side of Quincy House and a student who was walking nearby was also struck; the student and the occupants of one vehicle were transported to area hospitals. An individual was arrested on a drug violation near the Apley Court parking lot.
