Police Log

Following are some of the incidents reported to the HUPD for the week ending Jan. 29. The official log is located at Police Headquarters, 29 Garden St.

Jan. 23: A burnt-out part in a boiler caused a fire alarm at Peabody Terrace. One hour later, a fire was reported in an underground tunnel at the same location and the entire complex was evacuated due to possible carbon monoxide leak.

Jan. 25: A purse was reported stolen from Coolidge Hall and a bicycle was stolen from the Holden Green Complex. The Harvard School of Dental Medicine was evacuated after reports of a strong smell of smoke and other reports of an explosion. Multiple buildings in the Medical area reported power outages.

Jan. 26: A backpack containing items worth more than $250 was stolen from Aldrich Hall.

Jan. 28: A laptop computer was stolen from the Cronkhite Graduate Center.

Jan. 29: A jacket and gloves were stolen from Burden Hall.
