Join the climb! Take the Stairs 2017: March 15 – April 24

2 min read

Registration for Take the Stairs, the annual team-based campaign to encourage and support movement, is now open for the entire University.  This annual movement campaign that began at the T.H. Chan School of Public Health and the Harvard Medical School has been expanded to include the entire University.

Register individually or recruit friends and colleagues to form a team and track your progress “climbing” this year’s mountain as you improve your health and reduce your environmental impact by taking the stairs.

This year the featured mountain is Pierce Peak, 5,873 feet, in Antarctica. Pierce Peak is named after one of our own, the late Dr. Chester Pierce, faculty at HMS and HGSE. Due to the peak’s low altitude the campaign’s target altitude is a 4X multiplier, resulting in Pierce Peak 4X, an altitude of 23,492 feet. Teams who reach the peak are entered into prize raffles and prizes are given based on creative team names.

Register, track progress, and learn more at Hsph.me/stairs.
