Faculty Council meeting held Nov. 28

On Nov. 28, the Faculty Council approved the Harvard Summer School course list for 2013, a proposal to change the name of the Standing Committee on Higher Degrees in the History of American Civilization to the Standing Committee on Higher Degrees in American Studies, and a proposal to change the name of the Standing Committee on Ethnic Studies to the Standing Committee on Ethnicity, Migration, Rights. They also heard a presentation from the Standing Committee on Athletic Sports.

The Council next meets on Dec. 12. The next meeting of the faculty is Dec. 4 at 4 p.m. The preliminary deadline for the Feb. 5 meeting of the faculty is Jan. 22 at noon.
