Mark E. Richard named professor of philosophy

Mark E. Richard, who specializes in the philosophy of language, philosophical logic, and metaphysics and epistemology, has been named professor of philosophy in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences (FAS), effective July 1, 2010. Richard was previously Lenore Stern Professor in the Humanities and Social Sciences at Tufts University, where he has been a member of the faculty since 1984.
