Stephen Greenblatt to be honored
Cogan University Professor Stephen Greenblatt will join seven other distinguished artists and writers to be inducted into the 250-member American Academy of Arts and Letters next month.
The newly elected members will be officially inducted at a May 21 award ceremony at the academy in New York City. Chartered by Congress, the American Academy of Arts and Letters was established in 1889 to “foster, assist, and sustain an interest in literature, music, and the fine arts.” An exhibition of art, architecture, books, and manuscripts by new members and recipients of awards will be on view at the academy’s galleries from May 22 to June 15.
